Social STudies of Outer Space Network

We are an international community of researchers and practitioners interested in exploring the interrelationship between outer space and societies around the world and beyond. Our membership brings together scholars from across disciplines ranging from anthropology, sociology, and geography to philosophy, science and technology studies, the arts, and beyond.

The aim of the SSOS Network is to cultivate connection and dialogue within our community; collect and promote our work, publications, and conferences; and bring crucial insights from the social studies of outer space to academic institutions, policy makers, and the wider public. More information on our research themes and projects can be found on our Resources and Cite Club pages.
